To all my family, friends, acquaintances, and strangers. It is with all my love that I publish this article and prayer. I pray that those that read it, do so with understanding that God the Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit love you beyond a love (agape) that is hard for humans to understand. According to Hosea 4:6 KJV People are destroyed because a lack of knowledge. It is not because God does not love them. It is because of a lack of what the Bible says such as, how to walk in faith, how to overcome, how to get prayers answer, how to resist the devil, and it goes on. God has provided all the help and provisions you need to live your life here on earth. You must help yourself to what God has already provided. You already do things in many areas of life such as food to eat, sleep to rest, water to drink, and the list goes on. God provided all of the necessity to sustain your physical life and all of your spiritual life. God expects you to feed yourself on the spiritual food He has provided in the Bible.

The above verse is a very sad verse because our failure to learn what God has provided. Just think who may be destroyed because our lack of knowledge. They could be your children, relatives, close friends, and even strangers. I ask you, what did you do to stop it?

Let’s stop the devil because our lack of knowledge of what God is trying to teach us from His word. It is all up to you. Quit making excuses.  The following prayer is the beginning. I have prayed this prayer. I have surrendered my life to Jesus many times as I believe I need His help to stay on track and not be destroyed by sins that enter for lack of knowledge. Also, back in the mid 70’s, I ask God for brokenness from the secular life. I continue to ask Jesus and the Holy Spirit for guidance.

God is not to blame for our troubles. God has already made provision for us. We must avail ourselves of what God has provided.

How can we benefit from God’s great provision if we don’t know about it? So, we should seek the knowledge of God on our own and receive teaching from other Bible believers. There is not one among us who does not have much to learn. No one is walking in the absolute fullness of what God has provided. Jesus left us the Holy Spirit to teach us. Is He teaching you?

Let’s quit giving place to the devil by our lack of knowledge of God’s Word. And, as we learn from God’s Word we should share our knowledge with others, so they can walk in freedom and victory too.

You need to make a commitment to God so you can know the truth and not let the devil rob you for the lack of knowledge. The following prayer is the beginning. An important factor that must be understood is Jesus is not only our Savior, but He must also become our Lord. God’s instructions are the most important lessons you will ever learn. Jesus loves you and so do I.

My Loving Heavenly Father,

I surrender to you today with all my heart and soul. Please come into my heart in a deeper way. I say, “Yes” to you today. I open all the secret places of my heart to you and say, “Come on in.” Jesus, you are the Lord of my whole life. I believe in you and receive you as my Lord and Savior. I hold nothing back.

Holy Spirit, bring me to a deeper conversion to the person of Jesus Christ. I surrender all to you: my time, my treasures, my talents, my health, my family, my resources, my work, relationships, time management, successes and failures. I release it and let it go.

I surrender my understanding of how things ‘ought’ to be, my choices and my will. I surrender to you the promises I have kept and the promises I have failed to keep. I surrender my weaknesses and strengths to you. I surrender my emotions, my fears, my insecurities, my sexuality. I especially surrender ______ (Here, mention other areas of surrender as the Holy Spirit reveals them to you.)

Lord, I surrender my whole life to you, the past, the present, and the future. In sickness and in health, in life and in death, I belong to you.
